Visa Instructions

 

United States Immigration law requires that all international students must obtain an F-1 student visa before entering the United States for purposes of attending a U.S. institution. 

 

To obtain an F-1 visa to study at Lehigh University,

  1. Pay your tuition to the Global Village Program
  2. Receive your I-20 (Application for F-1 Student Visa) and Sevis Instructions via Fed-Ex from the Global Village
  3. Pay your Sevis Fee (instructions are attached to your I-20). Note: Keep Proof of Payment
  4. Schedule your appointment at the US Embassy
 

What you will need for your Embassy appointment:

 

1. INS Document ( I-20 Form) for F-1 Visa (issued by Lehigh University)

2. Application forms required by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate (DS-156, DS-157 and DS-158, whichever apply to your situation)

3. Financial Documentation

4. Passport

5. Selection Letters to Global Village program sent to you upon your Selection to the program from Lee Iacocca, Richard M. Brandt, and Mary Frances Schurtz-Leon.

6. Proof that you will be returning to your country after the program. Examples

  • Letter from your present school stating that you have # years to complete your degree and that Global Village is a supplemental course of study.
  • Letter from your current employer that you have been employed since (date) and that you are on an excused absence and expected to return after Global Village completion.
  • A round trip airline ticket showing a date of return within 30 days of the end of the Global Village program.

7. Proof of the Sevis Fee paid- instructions attached to your I-20 form
