What you will need to bring
Clothing / Special Request Items /Packing List
You will receive an electronic binder when you arrive that will direct you each day regarding course materials and proper attire for the day. The default attire (that which is required most often) is Business Casual.
Clothing
- Business Formal
- You will be meeting with business executives from various industries; therefore appropriate business attire is needed. There are approximately six (6) days in the schedule when business attire is required. A suit or sports coat with tie is acceptable for men. Women can bring a suit or other appropriate business fashion.
- Business Casual
- For routine on-campus learning activities such as course sessions, country presentations and scheduled events or trips, dress slacks and polo shirt or oxford shirt is appropriate for men and dress slacks or skirts with polo shirt or blouse is appropriate for women. Please remember that all buildings are Air Conditioned and might be a little cold for most summer clothing alone. Pack a few light sweaters to be safe.
- Evening Wear
- For graduation and closing dinner formal attire such as a business suit, tuxedo, or dinner jacket are appropriate for men; a short cocktail dress, long evening gown or an evening suit is recommended for women. Formal eveningwear can be rented locally for men, if necessary.
- Village Casual
- Comfortable daily clothes may be worn for project days and evening student-led activities, unless otherwise indicated. Please remember that all buildings, except residence halls, are Air Conditioned and might be a little cold for most summer clothing alone. Pack a few light sweaters to be safe. Summers are often hot and humid, with average temperature ranging from 59F (15C) to 97F (35C) and extremes reaching over 100F (38C) from June through August. Weather is unpredictable however, so we recommend bringing a lightweight jacket and/or raingear.
- Sportswear
- Athletic activities are part of the program, so you will need to bring exercise clothing and sneakers. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.
