Meet the Professional Eduction Team:

Beth Simmons:

Elizabeth (Beth) Simmons is the Managing Director for Iacocca Institute Professional Education at Lehigh University.  As part of her realm of responsibilities, she develops one and two-day training seminars for executives and professionals within the tri-state region; develops customized training programs for regional companies; manages Global Village On the Move (overseas) educational leadership programs; and serves as country panel director, coordinator and facilitator for Iacocca Institute’s Global Village for Future Leaders of Business and Industry© program.  Beth completed a Lehigh University MBA in 2000, a University of Central Florida BA in Journalism, holds a St. Petersburg AA.  Additionally, she has been member of several organizations such as FPRA, ASTD and SHRM, and has held numerous memberships with volunteer and philanthropic organizations such as Chambers of Commerce; the Clearwater Library system; the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society; and AFIRE, an advocates group for protecting the rights of retarded citizens.  Beth has served Iacocca Institute as Manager of Professional Education since 2002, and formerly worked for The St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Film Commission; Able Medical Aids, Inc.; Universal Studios Florida public relations; and the Economic Development Commission of Mid-Florida. 

Carol Ham:
Carol Ham is the Professional Education Program Administrator who provides recommendations for program offerings, coordinates facilitators and participants for the programs, develops program materials, and administers program logistics.  Carol has twenty years experience in the Training and Development field and has facilitated various programs in multiple industry sectors.

Katie Foley:
Katie Foley is the newest member of the Iacocca Institute and is assuming the responsibilities formerly handled by Katie Welsh as Program Coordinator. Katie has recently moved to the Lehigh Valley from the Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre area. We would like to welcome her to Professional Education.

Katie Welsh:
Katie Welsh has been a member of the Professional Education Department since 2004, program coordinator, she has been instrumental in many of the department’s successes. We would like to wish her well on her new endeavor. Katie will be lending her many talents and skills to the Study Abroad Department at Lehigh University. They will be lucky to have her.
