"INNOVATE TO SUCCEED" |
||
It is not surprising that smaller organizations are often more innovative than larger organizations, particularly those protecting market share for maturing products. However, larger businesses and non-profits can stimulate innovation in their environment. In this session, leadership styles and cultural values for the larger, sponsoring organizations and the entrepreneurial teams will be discussed. Our focus includes opportunities to eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy, stimulate innovation and succeed financially. Success must be commercially earned. Effective leadership and culture leverage the entrepreneurial skills and passion of your team.
On August 3rd, the Iacocca Institute's Global Village for Future Leaders of Business and Industry® program graduated its 11th and largest class ever. Ninety-six junior business leaders from 43 countries spent six weeks at Lehigh University participating in this applied leadership and cross cultural training program. Designed for young professionals and experienced students who share the dream of building a leadership career in business and industry, the participants focus on making a positive change in life, and on forming an active and global network. Interactive seminar style courses, company projects, executive meetings, country based business competitions, and on-site company visits enable participants to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills, business and industry knowledge, and an in-depth understanding of other cultures. Our new graduates are joining a global alumni network of 943 leaders representing 100-plus countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, North and South America, and Europe who have attended the Iacocca Institute Lehigh University program. Congratulations graduates and staff on a job well done. For additional information regarding this and other Iacocca Institute program offerings, please visit http://www.iacocca-lehigh.org/.
