"The Art of Managing Employee Expectations: What Savvy Leaders Do"

Thursday, April 3, 2008
Time: 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Speaker: Dawn Lennon
Cost: $30

7:30 a.m. - Buffet Breakfast
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Presentation

Overview:
The challenge of managing employee expectations persists from the time a company opens its doors. New recruits have wide-eyed expectations of an exciting career. Employees with experience seek to move up. Seasoned managers often settle into roles that they don't want to see changed. Others in jobs with declining value wait for packages. The leader's greatest challenge is to ground employees in the reality of the marketplace and the workplace. This session will provide insights into the leadership techniques that drive a culture of realistic expectations among employees at all levels: an understanding of the business, what it takes to succeed, the significance of choices, and the role of professional development.
