Lehigh Applied Management Program (L.A.M.P.)

The Lehigh Applied Management Program (LAMP) was designed to develop leadership and management potential, skills, competencies and capabilities in mid-level managers identified for succession by their company. Programs are customized to meet organizational training objectives. LAMP was designed to accelerate the development process for emerging organizational leaders.  

Program Content:

LAMP content focuses in four specific development areas for attendees including one’s understanding of the organizational structure; one’s expressed interest in leadership opportunities in the organization; one’s ability to lead; and one’s desire to grow within the organization into the future. The program content teaches participant’s to:

  • Understand the value chain of a “company,” one’s fit in the organizational structure, and one’s awareness of their impact on the organization at all levels;
  • Assess one’s ability to self-lead, career manage and approach leadership roles within the organization;
  • Assess and expand one’s command and competence of organizational financial metrics and strategic planning methods as they align with the corporate mission, vision and values;
  • Enhance one’s ability to manage, supervise and lead people and projects ethically and in alignment with corporate goals and objectives;
  • Prepare those identified to assume high-level responsibilities in domestic or foreign environments within the organization as they become available.
  • The Lehigh Applied Management Program includes discussion in the following topic areas:

  • Business Value Chain (Supply Chain Management)
  • Organizational Design and Assessment
  • Human Resource Management
  • Strategy Design and Implementation
  • Strategic Finance
  • Change Management
  • Executive Skills for Leadership Effectiveness
  • Specifics customized topics may include exploration of the business value chain; supply chain management, project management, executive skills such as public speaking and conflict management; analytical thinking; change management; personality assessment; procurement and more.

    Program is offered in multi-day formats. This general management program may range from five to seven days for delivery. Additional topics are based on organization needs and may encompass all parts of the business value chain, skill performance and 360 feedback assessments, selling and marketing skills and much more.
