Founder & Owner
Big Picture Consulting
Dawn Lennon is the founder and owner of Big Picture Consulting, a business consulting practice that works with clients to achieve goals by solving problems and improving performance. Prior to starting her consultancy in 2002, she held a variety of senior manager positions at PPL, a Fortune 500 company, for over 20 years. Concurrently, she owned and operated a commercial horse breeding business and an equine art and antiques gallery.
Ms. Lennon is the author of Business Fitness: The Power to Succeed—Your Way (2007, Glenbridge Publishing, Ltd., 232 pp.). She has written numerous management articles for the California Journal of Veterinary Medicine and the Morning Call newspaper. She is frequently asked to make presentations for businesses and community groups on topics such as goal setting, performance management, leadership, and business fitness.
During her corporate career, her management accountabilities covered diverse functions: customer service, management development and training, consumer programs, regulatory compliance, and quality. She has developed award-winning programs, provided expert testimony, led high-profile change initiatives, and implemented best-practice innovations.
As an entrepreneur, she turned personal interests into meaningful business ventures. Her seventeen-year thoroughbred and show horse breeding business resulted in winners at the race track and champion conformation horses. This passion led to the ten-year operation of an equine art gallery and then to advertising services for the horse industry that continue today.
As a consultant, Ms. Lennon works one-on-one and with organizations to position them for success. Her clients are publicly-held companies, non-profit organizations, new business start ups, and success-oriented individuals.
Ms. Lennon began her career in public education, teaching for ten years in a high school in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey and then in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, holding permanent teaching certificates in both states.
She has an M.A. degree from Lehigh University and a B.A. degree from Marietta College. She is a member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also vice president of the Lehigh Valley Arts Council board. Dawn has lived and worked in the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years.
